Qualification: 2nd Division Bachelor Degree from a recognized University (Provided that a candidate who has obtained a 3rd Division or D-Grade in Bachelor’s Degree will be eligible for the examination in cases where he/she has obtained a higher Division in Master’s Degree).

GENERAL CONDITIONS: | |
| (i) | The Commission shall hold screening test having 50% passing threshold for shortlisting of candidates for syllabus based Written Examination. |
| (ii) | There shall be a written exam for the posts of Provincial Management Service Officer (BPS-17) for the purpose of selection as per prescribed syllabus. The prescribed syllabus is available on KP PSC website https://www.kppsc.gov.pk/syllabus. |
| (iiii) | All candidates are required to clearly mention the optional subjects as per instructions given in the syllabus failing which their application shall be rejected. |
| (iv) | Before interview, the Commission will hold Psychological/ aptitude test and no candidate will be called for interview if he/ she failed to appear in the Psychological / aptitude test. |
| (v) | Age shall be reckoned on 01.01.2026. |
| (vi) | Two years optimum relaxation in upper age limit shall be allowed to: a) Government servants with a minimum of two years’ continuous service b) Disable persons; and c) Candidates from backward areas. |
| (vii) | All candidates appearing for competitive examination shall be allowed three chances for each individual examination while four chances shall be allowed in combination of competitive examinations for the post of Provincial Management Service, Civil Judges- cum -Judicial Magistrates and such other posts which the government may include in these categories of posts. |
| (viii) | In pursuance of decision of the Provincial Cabinent of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa dated 17.02.2025, conveyed vide Establishment Department letter No.SOC(E&AD)9-24/2025 dated 17.02.2025, the upper age limit of candidates for Provincial Management Service competitive examination has been increased from thrity (30) to thrity five (35) years for all candidates as general relaxation and the number of attempts/ chances from three (3) to four (4) as one time measure for two years for PMS examinations to be conducted in the years 2025 and 2026 respectively in relaxation of rules. |
| (ix) | Candidates are required to make correct entries in the online application which can be documentarily proved as on the basis of their claim/ entries they will be called for screening test/ written examination. |
| (x) | Degrees / Experience Certificates / Testimonials of unrecognized institutions are not accepted. |
| (xi) | Those candidates shall be called for disabled seats who are in possession of a certificate issued by the Board of Rehabilitation / District Assessment Board for disabled persons stating their disability on the basis of report of standing Medical Board on or before the date of interview. |
| (xii) | Call letters for screening test/ written examination will be placed on KP PSC website. Candidates must keep visiting the PSC website from time to time. |
| (xiii) | Applicants married to Foreigners are considered only on production of the Govt: Relaxation Orders. |
| (xiv) | Employees of Govt: / Semi-government institutions/ autonomous/ semi-autonomous bodies may apply directly but they should obtain departmental permission certificates from their respective competent authorities and submit the same to the Commission as and when asked for. |
| (xv) | The Zonal and Merit Quotas shall be strictly followed in the allocation of seats. Government reserves the right to increase/decrease or fill or not to fill any post. No zonal reservation stands for posts allocated to minority/disable and female quotas. These shall be filled in on open merit. |
| (xvi) | Where the candidate remains absent in the written examination his chance will remain intact. However, if he appears in any one subject he / she will be deemed to have availed the chance. |
| (xvii) | Grace marks are not allowed. |
| (xviii) | The candidates shall attach/produce the domicile certificate which had been issued to them by the competent authority before the last date fixed for receipt of applications. No alteration in the entries with regard to domicile certificate shall be accepted subsequently. Domicile once produced shall be final. A candidate shall be entitled for having one domicile only otherwise he / she shall become ineligible. |
| (xix) | A married female candidate not already in government service may either adopt the domicile of her husband or may retain her own domicile. However, option once exercised in online application form shall be final and change of domicile shall not be allowed thereafter. |
| (xx) | If any candidate is found ineligible at any stage under the rules for the examination, his/ her candidature will be cancelled regardless of the fact whether he/she has appeared in the examination or qualified therein. To avoid frustration the candidates are advised in their own interest to make sure, before appearing in the examination, that they fulfill all the requirements of the rules relating to the examination. |
